PND Connections - National Education Association - Read Across America
The National Education Association will sponsor its seventh annual Read Across America day on March 2, the 100th birthday of late children's book author Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss. Resources on the NEA Web site include activity ideas for young readers, lesson guidelines, and book lists. NEA has also teamed with Dr. Seuss Enterprises, Random House, and First Book to honor the memory of Dr. Seuss with a Seussentennial celebration. The Seussentennial.com site provides information about Geisel and his books, promotes planned events and exhibits throughout the country, and suggests additional ideas for activities and celebrations.
