9/11 Response

According to a survey by Federal Computer Week magazine and the Pew Internet & American Life Project, nearly half of all Americans are concerned that terrorists may target the nation's computer systems. The survey of more than one thousand adults found that 49 percent of Americans and more than half of those connected to the Internet feared cyber attacks on key components of the nation's economic infrastructure. A majority of respondents also felt the government should have the authority to obtain information from U.S. companies about their vulnerability to cyber attacks, while more than 70 percent were fairly confident that the federal government would provide sufficient information in the event of another terrorist attack.
