PND Connections - The Quality of Health Care Delivered to Adults in the United States
In one of the most comprehensive examinations of healthcare quality ever conducted in the U.S., research group RAND Health found that American adults receive only about half the amount of health care they should. Based on interviews with nearly seven thousand adults in twelve metropolitan areas, the results of the study, which was published in the latest issue of the New England Journal of Medicine and was supported by a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, concludes that gaps in health care pose a serious threat to the health of the American public.
