Education Leadership: An Agenda for School Improvement
The Wallace Foundation has issued a report that examines the growth of the education leadership field over the past decade and looks at critical issues in education leadership today. Based on the proceedings of the foundation's 2009 national education leadership conference, the report, Education Leadership: An Agenda for School Improvement (27 pages, PDF), includes discussions on improving principal-training programs and reforming district offices so they focus on what principals need in order to improve schools. The report also offers insights from prominent education researchers and leaders in federal and state government, central district offices, and schools, including Arne Duncan, Adrian Fenty, Joel Klein, and Michelle Rhee.
