Health

Campaign for Better Care Survey The Campaign for Better Care, a recently launched initiative of the National Partnership for Women and Families, Community Catalyst, and the National Health Law Program, has issued findings from a survey (8 pages, PDF) of older adults regarding health care. Conducted by Lake Research Partners, the survey found that 95 percent of adults age 50 and older said it is important to improve the quality of health care, while 37 percent said health care has gotten worse in the past five years. The survey also found that 74 percent said they wished their doctors shared information with each other, 73 percent said they wished their doctor had more time to spend talking with and listening to their patients, and 60 percent said they have left a doctor's office or hospital confused about what they were supposed to do when they got home.
