Billion Acts of Green
For the fortieth anniversary of Earth Day, the Earth Day Network has launched Billion Acts of Green, a campaign to collect environmental service commitments from individuals and organizations and send a powerful message that people from all walks of life are committed to tackling climate change. Visitors to the Billion Acts of Green site can add their commitment, browse commitments made by others, and share the site with others via social networking platforms. The Earth Day Network also is coordinating large- and small-scale environmental projects around the world, including tree plantings, light bulb switch-out campaigns, home energy efficiency retrofits, school greenings, and water projects.
