News21 News21, an initiative funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and the Carnegie Corporation of New York to revitalize journalism education by integrating schools of journalism more closely with the entire campus, has collected sixty projects created by ninety students in university newsrooms since 2006. They include Latino America: Economic, Social, Cultural, and Political Impact (Arizona State University), Powering a Nation: The Quest for Energy in a Changing USA (University of North Carolina), and The Charter Explosion: Are Hybrid Schools Blowing Up the Public Education Model? (Columbia University).
