Sustainable Water Systems: Step One - Redefining the Nation's Infrastructure Challenge
In time for National Water Quality Month, the Aspen Institute has issued a report as part of its Dialogue on Sustainable Water Infrastructure in the U.S. The report, Sustainable Water Systems: Step One — Redefining the Nation's Infrastructure Challenge (43 pages, PDF), offers recommendations for ensuring clean and safe drinking water for all communities while also keeping the environment in mind. In part, the report argues that the water management and policy community must address natural watershed infrastructure as well as the use of emerging small-scale water technologies in addressing the nation's water infrastructure as a whole.
