Guiding Sustainable Community Change: An Introduction to Coaching
The Community Coaching Initiative — a project of the Annie E. Casey, Kellogg, and Northwest Area foundations — has issued a new report that introduces the concept and practice of community coaching. The report, Guiding Sustainable Community Change: An Introduction to Coaching (48 pages, PDF), explains how community coaching differs from — and can add value to — other community change efforts and includes a list of skills and competencies needed to succeed as a community coach, including an understanding of how nonprofits operate and how to assess results.
