Public Perspectives on Health Delivery System Reforms According to a new report from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Changes in Health Care Financing and Organization initiative, a better understanding of consumers' opinions of specific health reform policies would enable policy makers to better design, describe, and market reform proposals. To that end, the report, Public Perspectives on Health Delivery System Reforms (18 pages, PDF), examined public opinion surveys and found that although there is underlying support for healthcare reform, there is also evidence of public concern over several health reform issues, including privacy and confidentiality of medical records, consumers' capacity and willingness to take on greater responsibility for making healthcare decisions, and the effects of reform on provider choice and treatment options.
