V3 Campaign
Recently launched by D.C. Central Kitchen founder and president Robert Egger, the V3 Campaign hopes to increase politicians' understanding of and commitment to the nonprofit sector, with the goal of developing a new generation of political leaders willing to work with the sector to rebuild the economy. The campaign's Web site includes information on the economic value of the nonprofit sector in the United States — noting, for instance, that nonprofits employ some 14 million people across the country — as well as information about upcoming elections and how to help shape candidates' view regarding the sector.
