Proxy Preview 2009
Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors and As You Sow, a San Francisco-based nonprofit that works to increase corporate accountability, recently issued Proxy Preview 2009 (40 pages, PDF), the fifth in a series of reports designed to help foundation leaders use proxy voting to better align their investments with their missions. Funded in part by the Jessie Smith Noyes Foundation and the Foundation Partnership for Corporate Responsibility, the report includes information on companies with votes scheduled, recent issue-specific vote outcomes, and overviews of the most popular proxy issues, including executive compensation, healthcare reform, predatory lending, political donations, global warming, and sexual orientation non-discrimination.
