6 Billion Others
The 6 Billion Others project is attempting to to create a "portrait" of contemporary humankind by collecting answers to questions such as "What is happiness?" and "What lessons can we learn from life's difficulties?" Created in 2003, the project has conducted more than six thousand interviews with individuals in sixty-five countries, many of which can be viewed on the project's Web site, where they are arranged by topic. The project was created by artist Yann Arthus-Bertrand with support from BNP Paribas Bank, Apple, Médecins du Monde, and Canon.
