Language for the New American Consensus on International Cooperation A new report from the United Nations Foundation and the Better World Campaign highlights significant shifts in the international issues that Americans are concerned about as well as the approaches they want the United States to take in addressing those issues. Based on data from a six-month public opinion research project, the report, Language for the New American Consensus on International Cooperation (16 pages, PDF), finds that 78 percent of voters believe the United States is less respected by other countries than it has been in the past, while 80 percent believe that working with major allies and through international organizations is an appropriate strategy for achieving national goals in a global context.
