Cover the Uninsured Week
An initiative of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Cover the Uninsured Week will be celebrated April 27 - May 3 this year. The event is designed to bring together business owners, union members, educators, students, patients, physicians, and others to speak on behalf of the uninsured and to demand that our national leaders make the issues of the uninsured their top priority. To that end, the Cover the Uninsured Web site offers fact sheets containing basic information on issues related to healthcare coverage in the United States, including children's healthcare coverage, retiree health benefits, the societal costs of the uninsured, and out-of-pocket spending on healthcare services.
