The Project for Excellence in Journalism, a research project of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and the Committee of Concerned Journalists, a consortium of journalists, publishers, and academics who are worried about the future of the field, have launched a revamped and expanded version of their Web site Journalism.org to provide tools, research, and other resources for journalism professionals, citizens, and students and teachers. Resources on the site include professional guidelines and codes of ethics, career advice for students, and case studies. In addition, the site provides a daily digest of media-related news with links to stories from a variety of sources, various columnists and critics, and related journalism and media organizations. The project is underwritten by the Pew Charitable Trusts, with additional funding from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
