A New Era for the Arts
The Aspen Institute has launched a new initiative designed to integrate the arts into its work and to bring artists into an ongoing "conversation" about leadership, foreign policy, poverty, race, and justice. Published in the Winter 2007/2008 edition of the institute's The Aspen Idea magazine, "A New Era for the Arts" (4 pages, PDF) discusses the Harman-Eisner Program in the Arts, which has launched a residency program that brings at least two artists to the institute's campus each summer to take part in an Ideas Festival and other seminars, policy conferences, and special events.
