The growth in size and visibility of the philanthropic sector has led to greater scrutiny of foundations and increased attention to the role CEOs play in managing programs and assets. A product of the council's Senior Advisors Program, the report shares advice from seven seasoned philanthropic leaders and attempts to establish a set of critical skills for CEOs and board members who aspire to stay — and thrive — in the job.
