King Papers Project The King Papers Project, a cooperative effort of Stanford University, the King Center, and the King estate, is working to publish a definitive fourteen-volume edition of the most significant correspondence, sermons, speeches, published writings, and unpublished manuscripts of Martin Luther King, Jr. Funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Historical Publications and Records Commission, and a handful of foundations, the project encourages students to become involved in its research through the King Fellowship Program and engages in related educational activities using multimedia and computer technology to reach both public and scholarly audiences.
