Guide to Support Responsible Investing by U.S. Colleges
To encourage colleges and universities to adopt responsible investment practices in pursuit of social and environmental change, Amnesty International USA and the Responsible Endowments Coalition have released a handbook for trustees, administrators, and student activists. Integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance Issues into Institutional Investment: A Handbook for Colleges and Universities (52 pages, PDF) provides examples of best practices from leading academic institutions around four ESG investing strategies: shareholder advocacy, community investing, positive and negative social screening, and divestment.
