Pathways to Juvenile Detention Reform
The Annie E. Casey Foundation has published a new installment of its Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative Pathways series. The report, Pathways to Juvenile Detention Reform: Beyond Detention (80 pages, PDF), documents the ways in which detention reforms in general — and JDAI's comprehensive reform model in particular — stimulate and support an array of other juvenile justice system improvements. According to the report, while the field of juvenile justice has experienced significant progress in the eight years since the original volumes of the series were published, many of the same decades-old problems persist.
