Integrating Publicly Funded Physical and Behavioral Health Services: A Description of Selected Initiatives A new report funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and authored by Health Management Associates aims to identify and describe existing models of publicly funded integrated service programs. Integrated services can mean anything from placing behavioral health and primary care clinicians in the same setting to facilitating referrals across systems and jointly planning and financing services. The report, Integrating Publicly Funded Physical and Behavioral Health Services: A Description of Selected Initiatives (107 pages, PDF), illustrates the variety of integration goals and approaches undertaken by providers, payers, and public agencies in the pursuit of improved service integration.
