Philanthropy and Voluntarism

2007 Central Florida Nonprofit Compensation and Benefits Survey A recent survey of compensation and benefits at nonprofit organizations in Central Florida by the Rollins College Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership Center finds that although 63 percent of nonprofit executive directors in the region are female, male executive directors earn significantly higher salaries — $92,568 on average, versus $71,598 for women. According to the study, the discrepancy can be attributed in part to the fact that executive directors at the larger and better-paying organizations tend to be men. The report, 2007 Central Florida Nonprofit Compensation and Benefits Survey (5 pages, executive summary, PDF), also includes a list, by job title, of average annual base salaries in the region.
