Investing in Innovation
To compete successfully in the global economy, states need to focus on developing regional innovation strategies in their business, technology, and education sectors, a new report from the National Governor's Association and the Pew Center on the States argues. Funded by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the report, Investing in Innovation (76 pages, PDF), presents six guidelines and accompanying case studies designed to help policy makers, business leaders, and other stakeholders design research and development investments in their industries and areas of expertise.
