Representing the New Majority: A Status Report on the Diversity of the University of California Medical School Faculty A new report from the Greenlining Institute finds that California's minority groups are largely underrepresented among the faculty of the University of California medical school system. Funded by the California Endowment and the California Wellness Foundation, the report, Representing the New Majority: A Status Report on the Diversity of the University of California Medical School Faculty, (PDF, 44 pages) recommends steps to increase the racial and ethnic diversity of tenure-track faculty and promote a diverse, culturally competent healthcare workforce equipped to meet the needs of the state's growing minority populations.
