Women, Health, and Aging: Building a Statewide Movement
According to a new report from the California Endowment, more than 75 percent of low-income seniors in the state are women, while the number of Californians over the age of 65 is expected to double between 2010 and 2030. The report, Women, Health, and Aging: Building a Statewide Movement, comprises three policy papers that examine the demographic, cultural, and economic issues impacting access to care for the state's vulnerable elder population. The report also includes detailed descriptions of the specific health risks facing different ethnic populations in the state.
