Grantmaking with a Racial Equity Lens (32 pages, PDF), a new guide from GrantCraft, a project of the Ford Foundation, suggests that a focus on racial equity can improve grantmakers' effectiveness at every stage of the grantmaking process. The guide explores how a racial equity lens can help grantmakers' scan their field or community, cultivate new leaders, encourage creative approaches, get people talking, and nourish change inside their own organizations. The guide was written in partnership with the Philanthropic Initiative for Racial Equity and was underwritten by the Ford and Charles Stewart Mott foundations.
