Arts and Culture in the Metropolis
A new report from the RAND Corporation offers policy recommendations for strengthening the arts and culture in large urban areas. Commissioned by the William Penn Foundation and the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, the report, Arts and Culture in the Metropolis (124 pages, PDF), evaluates support for the arts in eleven metropolitan regions and suggests that civic leaders use cultural institutions to help advance economic development and neighborhood revitalization strategies.
