Campaign Promotes Tree Planting in Cities
The Home Depot and National Arbor Day foundations are planting one hundred trees in each of ten U.S. cities through early May as part of a campaign to increase awareness of the importance of trees as green infrastructure in cities and to create healthier urban communities. Tree-planting events have already taken place in Miami, Atlanta, and San Antonio, and are scheduled for Portland (Oregon), Baltimore, Denver, Detroit, Chicago, Sacramento, and Minneapolis.
