Arts and Culture

The African-American Experience in Philadelphia Philly Noir, the fifth installment in the Pew Charitable Trusts' podcast series SoundAboutPhilly, concentrates on African-American culture and its role in Philadelphia's past, present, and future. Created by Pew and the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation, the series features customizable "sound-seeing tours" of Philadelphia told by "real" Phildelphians. The eleven tour segments in this latest installment include the African-American Museum, the Philadelphia Music Walk of Fame, the Blue Horizon boxing gym, and Mother Bethel A.M.E. Church.
