Civil and Human Rights

A Study of Human Trafficking in Cambodia Review of a Decade of Research on Trafficking in Persons, Cambodia (59 pages, PDF) examines the patterns, extent, and consequences of the traffic in humans in and out of Cambodia and finds that, while it is common knowledge that most trafficking involves prostitution, the available research does not explain the patterns and complexity of the problem. Moreover, much of the information is based on assumptions rather than evidence. Funded by the Asia Foundation and USAID, the report identifies gaps in the existing research and offers recommendations about how to approach future investigations.
