LGBT Corporate Equality Index 2006
A record number of large U.S. companies are competing to expand benefits and protections for their gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender employees and consumers, according to the Human Rights Campaign report Corporate Equality Index 2006: A Report Card on Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Equality in Corporate America (68 pages, PDF). Of the 446 corporations surveyed, 138 companies earned the top rating of 100 percent, up tenfold from just four years ago.
