Future of the First Amendment - Teens and the News
According to a new Knight Foundation study, Future of the First Amendment: What America's High School Students Think About Their Freedoms (15 pages, PDF), most students who read news online go to Google and Yahoo!, then national and local television and daily newspaper Web sites — not blogs. A follow-up to Knight's 2004 study, the report also finds that students know more about the First Amendment than they did two years ago, but more students today think it goes too far with the rights it guarantees.
