Arts, Ideas, and Economic Progress in Greater Phoenix
According to the Maricopa Partnership for Arts and Culture, the Greater Phoenix area falls short of the national average in more than 75 percent of all creative occupations — including those related to fostering new ideas in science, engineering, and business. In Creative Connections: Arts, Ideas, and Economic Progress in Greater Phoenix, MPAC urges closing this "creativity gap" and argues that the benefits of such action — a stronger local economy and a more vibrant region — far outweigh the costs.
