April Is National Poetry Month
April is National Poetry Month, and to celebrate, the Academy of American Poets is e-mailing a daily poem to anyone who signs up for the service. Visitors to the site can also browse an archive of poems chosen from books published this spring, or opt to receive a poem-a-day for the remainder of the month. The academy established National Poetry Month in 1996 to enhance the visibility, presence, and accessibility of poetry in American society.
