April Is National Child Abuse Prevention Month
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and this year's theme, "Safe Children and Healthy Families Are a Shared Responsibility," figures prominently in the community-resource packet put together by the Children's Bureau of the Department of Health & Human Services. Available in English and Spanish, the packet offers suggestions for individuals, organizations, and communities; a poster; and a list of foundations, nonprofits, and programs that work to strengthen families, including Prevent Child Abuse America, which supported the project.
