Parents and Students Are Satisfied With Math and Science Education While calls for math and science education reform have been loud and clear, a new survey by Public Agenda finds that parents and students don't recognize that most U.S. schools are inadequately prepared to meet college or career requirements in these areas. Funded by the GE, Wallace, and Nellie Mae Education foundations, Reality Check 2006: Are American Parents and Students Ready for More Math and Science? (19 pages, PDF) finds that parents are more concerned with societal problems in high schools than with curricula.
