Free Tele-Seminars Focus on Mission-Based Advocacy
The Alliance for Children and Families is offering nonprofit staff and board members free access to its Building Community Voices tele-seminars on various aspects of mission-based advocacy. Funded by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the upcoming sessions will address grassroots advocacy (3/7/06); board involvement (4/11); staying true to the mission (5/9); and successful media campaigns (6/13). Participants, who must register online in advance of each session, will receive a free copy of Mission-Based Advocacy: A Toolkit for Human Service Nonprofit Board Members and Volunteers by seminar leader Nancy Amidei and the alliance's public policy staff. (Note: Registration closes two days prior to each session.)
