Disaster Preparedness Planning for Nonprofits
NPower Network, a provider of technology support to other nonprofits, has created Communications, Protection, Readiness (CPR): NPower's Nonprofit Guide to Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (38 pages, PDF), a guide to preparing organizations for disasters, emergencies, and business interruptions. Funded through an SBC Excelerator grant, the guide offers benchmarks for assessing a nonprofit's readiness to provide services in the event of an emergency, sample documents for use in creating a disaster-preparedness plan, tips on technology tools for designing and implementing such a plan, and a list of related resources.
