Status of Latino Nonprofits in Greater Milwaukee The Inventory of Latino Nonprofit Organizations in Greater Milwaukee (20 pages, PDF) surveys thirty-three Latino-focused organizations with budgets under $2 million in the Milwaukee area, and assesses their management and organizational development needs. Commissioned by the Southeast Wisconsin site of Hispanics in Philanthropy's Funders' Collaborative for Strong Latino Communities, the report finds reduced funding for these groups but increased need for their services; more small nonprofits, specifically faith-based ones; and increased reliance on volunteers. To succeed, the report urges that groups get training for their board members and find alternate funding sources.
