Aging

National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month The incidence of Alzheimer's disease in the United States is expected to triple to an estimated 16 million people by 2050. On National Memory Screening Day, held on November 15 as part of National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month, screenings will be available at more than seven hundred sites. The Alzheimer's Foundation of America provides a list of screening sites by state. Screenings are an important first step toward early diagnosis of Alzheimer's, related dementia, or other conditions that cause memory loss; a normal diagnosis can allay fears.
