Health Education Campaign and Web Site for Women
Her Healthy Life, an online public education campaign designed for women who may have low health-literacy skills, alerts women to ways to improve their health and reduce their risk for diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and lung cancer: Eat right, exercise, and don't smoke. The site links to additional resources as well as radio public service announcements, two featuring actress Fran Drescher. Sponsored by the Society for Women's Health Research and the Verizon Foundation, the campaign also provides an electronic brochure in English or Spanish distributed by the National Center for Family Literacy.
