Improving Foundation Performance for Higher Impact
Insights from foundation leaders fill Higher Impact: Improving Foundation Performance, (24 pages, PDF), a report that grew out of a seminar sponsored by the Center for Effective Philanthropy in March 2005. At the event, more than two hundred foundation trustees, CEOs, and senior executives discussed issues such as managing effectiveness through assessment, maximizing board potential, assessing overall performance, and earning public trust. The report incorporates the views of prominent foundation leaders and shares lessons learned from the gathering, which was funded by the California Endowment, California Wellness Foundation, Evelyn and Walter Haas Jr. Fund, and the James Irvine, Charles and Helen Schwab, and Stuart foundations.
