Public Policy Grantmaking Toolkit
Community organizing, advocacy, and litigation are all public policy-related activities, and foundations have historically supported such efforts in order to leverage their resources and advance their mission. In order to demystify public policy grantmaking and help build funders' capacity to engage in public policy initiatives, Northern California Grantmakers has created an online toolkit with recommendations and resources for getting started, gathering information, establishing best practices, and building capacity. Beneficial both for novices and those with more experience, the toolkit also contains several case studies featuring association members.
