PND Connections - Earned Income Tax Credit Information For the 2004 tax year, Earned Income Tax Credits (EITC) can be as much as $390 for childless low-income taxpayers or $4,300 for taxpayers with children. The brochure Get Credit for Your Hard Work: Low Income Working Taxpayers May Qualify for the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (2 pages, PDF, in English and Spanish) provides income eligibility guidelines; instructs low-income, working taxpayers in how to get more money back when filing federal income tax forms; and explains how they can receive advance EITC payments in their paychecks. A support manual, Questions & Answers about the Earned Income Tax Credit, written to help staff at community organizations answer client questions, expands on the information in the brochure, which is part of the Consumer Action EITC series. The series is funded through the Bank of America Consumer Education Fund, created to assist Californians in using financial services and administered by the San Francisco Foundation.
