Minnesota Grantmaking Outlook 2005
In its Minnesota Grantmaking 2005 Outlook Report, the Minnesota Council on Foundations reported that 84 percent of the state's foundations increased their assets over the past year, and projected that grantmaking in the state will return to a more traditional rate of growth of 3 to 6 percent this year. In its survey, 80 percent of grantmakers expected to increase their grant dollars, with 45 percent expecting increases of up to 4 percent from 2004 levels; 35 percent expected grant increases of 5 percent or more. Community and public foundations were a little more likely than private foundations and corporate grantmakers to expect grant increases.
