PND — Conference Announcements | Partnering for Cures: A FasterCures Meeting, December 1-3, 2009

15 YEARS: Are you willing to wait that long for a new therapy if you or a loved one is diagnosed with a disease for which a treatment doesn't exist?

The list of diseases for which there are no cures or even meaningful treatment options remains formidable despite the human, intellectual, and financial capital flowing through our medical research system.

FasterCures invites you to join us at Partnering for Cures, a first-of-its-kind meeting that will bring together leading authorities from the philanthropic, commercial and nonprofit sectors that propel medical research. These are the people on the front lines in the fight against disease: the researchers and their organizations, and biopharmaceutical companies that find our cures — and the philanthropists who fund the search. Three separate and distinct pieces of the cure puzzle, all gathered for one common goal: finding answers for patients who need them.

No other meeting of this scale has been convened for the sole purpose of forging strategic cross-sector collaborations that will — empower philanthropists to make informed investment decisions and measure the impact and return on their philanthropy; enable medical research foundations to find the right partners and investors needed to discover and commercialize new therapies; and facilitate biopharmaceutical industry partnerships that could yield novel medical solutions.
