"TechSoup users will be able to access up-to-date information on hardware, software, Web building, networking, databases, and Internet connectivity," said Sandra Whisler, TechSoup director. "This information takes the form of articles, downloads, news feeds, and links, as well as CNET's highly acclaimed product reviews. TechSoup users will also be able to take advantage of CNET's database of technical support information."
A free online resource for nonprofits, TechSoup offers nonprofits assistance in technology planning as well as advice on hardware and software purchasing and implementation. The site is produced by CompuMentor, a San Francisco-based nonprofit whose mission is to serve as a bridge to the Information Age for schools in and organizations serving low-income communities.
