Foundation Description:
Social Venture Partners was the vision of Paul Brainerd, former president of the Aldus corporation, who along with a group of technology leaders used the venture capital approach to create a new philanthopic project serving the Puget Sound community. The organization works to create a dynamic connection between entrepreneurs, technology professionals, and grassroots groups. Partners of the organization work to research relevant education and children's issues and organize volunteer projects to support investee organizations.

The sophisticated, redesigned home page features recent and upcoming events, volunteer opportunities as well as a nicely organized sidebar that links to other areas of the site. Visitors can find out how to become an investor, how to apply for a grant, or access a helpful list of resources on various topics pertaining to philanthropy.
