New for New York City Nonprofit Organizations
Scholarships Are Now Available for the Foundation Center's Full-Day Training Seminars
Scholarships are now available for representatives of nonprofits in the five boroughs of New York City to attend Foundation Center seminars in August and September. Intended for small community-based organizations, scholarships to our seminars will build your organization's internal capacity to successfully seek financial support from foundations, corporations, and other grantmakers.
Partial scholarships of $100 per seminar will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis to selected nonprofit staff or volunteer board members from organizations meeting our eligibility requirements. Scholarships may be applied to the cost of any seminar with the exception of the Grantseeker Training Institute. The nonprofit receiving the scholarship will be responsible for the balance of the fee, which must be paid at the time of course registration.
Eligible Organizations
- Organizations must have 501(c)(3) status with the IRS.
- The total organizational operating budget must be under $1,000,000.
- Organizations must be located in, and primarily serve, New York City.
Scholarship AmountsScholarships are for $100, applicable to any full-day training program, except the Grantseeker Training Institute. Each nonprofit organization is eligible to receive up to two scholarships per calendar year; priority will be given to eligible organizations that have not previously received scholarship support.
The scholarship program covers the fee-based seminars offered in New York City from August 6 through September of 2008. Please view course titles, dates, and full descriptions (including fees) on our web site.
Scholarships are awarded to eligible organizations on a first come-first served basis, subject to space availability, so we recommend submitting your application as soon as possible. Click here to apply for the scholarship online»
